Let's buy a domain! A domain is what the internet uses to distinguish your website from others. Every domain is made up of a domain extension and a unique domain name.
- Login to the MonsterWeb Account Manager or if you don't have a MonsterWeb account yet you can Register for one.
- Once logged in, click on Domains in the menu, then click on Register a New Domain.
- Type in the domain that you would like to register and click Check Availability
- This will check to see if the domain that you want is available for registration.
- This will also provide you with some other suggestions for domains that you may not have considered.
- Once you find a suitable domain click on the continue button at the bottom of the domain search page.
- Now it's time to sellect an addon for your domain. We recommend choosing ID Protect to help conceal your contact information from preying eyes and solicitors. You can always find more information about ID Protect in our knowledge base.
- If you want to use custom nameservers you can also enter them at this point as well. By default, new domains will use our nameservers for hosting on our network.
- Click Update Cart.
- You will now be taken to the check out page to finish the order on your new domain.
